Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved a 13th-month salary for civil servants in the state.
The governor made the announcement to mark the climax of the 2026 Public Service Week in Asaba, the state capital.
According to Governor Oborevwori, meaningful reforms can only succeed when workers are motivated, equipped, and supported through policies that promote their welfare and professional growth.
Sheriff also revealed that the salaries of the Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries have been increased by over 50 percent.
The state Head of Service, Mininim Oseji, commended the governor for his sustained support for the public service, noting that the administration’s intervention had improved workers’ morale and performance.
