Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of Festus Alenkhe as the substantive Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service, EBS.
The appointment was contained in a statement signed by the secretary to the Edo State Government, Musa Ikhilor, and takes immediate effect.
Alenkhe, a seasoned broadcaster and media practitioner, has served in various leadership capacities, including Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, and Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross, Edo State Branch.
Until his appointment, he served as Acting Managing Director of EBS, where the state government said he demonstrated effective leadership and commitment to the advancement of the service.
The appointment, according to the statement, is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the leadership and professional capacity of the Edo Broadcasting Service for improved service delivery.
