The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, says plans are underway to increase the overall pay of civil servants based on the present economic realities.
Governor Otti who stated this during a media chat held in Government House, Umuahia says he will continue to push the embers of digitisation of services and support Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in the state.
On the alleged nine hundred and twenty seven million naira his government spent on feeding, Otti described it as false, and assured of his prudence with the state’s resources.
When asked why he decided to operate from his house, the Governor explained that the old government house is undergoing some renovations.
Governor Otti further disclosed that a lot of initiatives will take place even as reforms are ongoing in different sectors of the state’s economy.
