Former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili has stated that Governor Sim Fubara is the political leader of the State regardless of what anyone says or does.

Speaking at the commissioning of a comprehensive Primary Healthcare Centre donated by the PAMO Educational Foundation, Doctor Odili urged Governor Fubara to abide by the oath he took to defend the interests of Rivers people, stating that the people will in return stand by him and follow him to anywhere he goes.

Rivers state Governor, Sim Fubara who arrived Ndoni, the hometown of one of his predecessors, Peter Odili was received warmly by a jubilant crowd who trooped out to witness the official inauguration of the healthcare centre built by Dr. Odili and donated by the PAMO Educational Foundation to the Rivers State Government

The event, however, took a political dimension when the former Rivers State governor, Dr. Odili, who had until now refrained from making public comments on the politics of Rivers State, broke his silence, insisting that Governor Sim Fubara is the political leader of Rivers State.

He wants the Governor to remain firm and also align himself with the positive policies of the government at the centre.

For his part, Governor Sim Fubara assured that he would continue to stand on the path of righteousness and defend the interest of Rivers State and the people.

Governor Fubara who was surprised to see the Chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Vincent Job at the event, warned that history will judge all the Council chairmen that have chosen to denigrate his office

Sim Fubara said he would continue to govern with the fear of God and make Rivers people proud with his good works.
