Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has inaugurated the Governing Board of the newly established Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Akwanga, as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state.
Governor Sule told the gathering during the inauguration ceremony in Lafia, the state capital, that the establishment and upgrade of health facilities across the three senatorial zones are aimed at improving access to quality healthcare and reducing pressure on existing hospitals.
He assured residents that his administration remains committed to improving healthcare services and achieving Universal Health Coverage in line with Sustainable Development Goal Three.

Chairman of the Governing Board, Pastor Samson Gamu Yare, speaking on behalf of other board members, thanked the governor for the appointment and pledged the board’s commitment to efficient service delivery.
The Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital was recently relocated from Lafia to Akwanga following the Federal Government’s takeover of the former facility for use as the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Lafia.
