Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has signed three strategic laws aimed at transforming the state’s energy, agriculture, and climate governance sectors.
The Kaduna State Government said the new legislations would accelerate economic growth, strengthen institutions, and promote sustainable development.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, the Kaduna State Government described the signing of the three laws as a major milestone in the administration’s efforts to drive inclusive growth and long-term development.
The newly enacted laws are the Kaduna State Electricity Law 2026, the Kaduna State Agricultural Development Fund (KADFund) Law 2025, and the Kaduna State Climate Change Advisory Board Law 2026.
The government said the laws provide a comprehensive framework for expanding access to electricity, boosting agricultural productivity, attracting investment, and strengthening climate resilience across the state.
According to the statement, the reforms are designed to support energy sector development, improve food security, enhance environmental sustainability, and create opportunities for economic growth.
The government added that the laws reflect Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to building resilient institutions and positioning Kaduna State as a model for innovation, sustainable development, and effective sub-national governance.
