Newly appointed Sole administrators to oversee the affairs of the 27 Local Governments Councils in IMO State, South East Nigeria, have been inaugurated.
Governor Hope Uzodimma who performed the ceremony at the Government House, Owerri charged the appointees to make Local Government Area levels of governance functional and efficient again.
He noted that viable and effective Local Council adminstration will stimulate economic growth, create jobs and accommodate the youths, thereby reducing poverty level in the State.
The Governor equally inaugurated three new Commissioners as members of the State Executive Council, as well as three members as Commissioners for the Imo State House of Assembly Service Commission.
He urged the new appointees to work in harmony with other institutions and bodies to transform the State.
