As part of preparations towards his 2027 governorship bid, Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has inaugurated a committee saddled with the responsibility of developing a new blueprint for his administration’s next phase.
The committee will review the implementation of the government’s 2023 policy document, “My Commitment for Kano,” assess achievements recorded so far, and formulate a new strategic plan to guide the administration’s agenda if given another mandate.
The development was disclosed in a statement released by the Director General of Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature.
The seventeen-member committee, chaired by Aminu Garba, will evaluate the performance of the current administration, identify areas requiring further attention, and incorporate key priorities into a new policy framework tagged Blueprint 2.0.
Members of the committee were drawn from various sectors, including health, education, governance, and the media, with a mandate to develop a comprehensive document that reflects the administration’s vision for Kano State.

According to the statement, the blueprint will highlight the governor’s priorities and strategic direction for the period between 2027 and 2031, focusing on sustaining existing reforms and expanding development programmes across the state.
The committee is also expected to consult with stakeholders from the public and private sectors to gather contributions and recommendations that will support the creation of an inclusive and people-focused development plan.
The government says the initiative is aimed at strengthening the achievements of the current administration and providing a clear pathway for the continued growth and development of Kano State.
