Aiyedatiwa Flags Off Orange Health Insurance Scheme

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring access to affordable healthcare for all residents of the State.

Governor Aiyedatiwa stated this during the official flag-off of the Orange Health Insurance Scheme (ORANGHIS) for the informal sector, which held in Akure, ondo state capital.

It is another milestone achievement for the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s led administration with the launch of the orange health insurance scheme aimed at sustaining source of funding that lowers the financial barriers to healthcare for residents of ondo state.

The Governor said the launch of the scheme is to cater for artisans, market women, farmers, commercial transport operators, and private sector workers across the State.

Aiyedatiwa said the vision of his Government is to rightly accommodate qualitative and accessible healthcare delivery in order to fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3.8.

Other stakeholders described health insurance as a pragmatic way of solving Nigeria’s dwindling health indices adding that by 2027,Ondo state will be among the top five states with the highest health insurance coverage in the country.

The state Government urged all residents to key into the newly launched health insurance scheme to improve healthcare accessibility and affordability.
