The Governor of Yobe State who is also the Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Maila Buni, and Governors of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu and Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru, have donated the sum N50m to affected traders of the inferno at the Tudun Wada Market in Gusau metropolis.
The Chairman of the APC governors’ Forum, Atiku Bagudu, who announced the donation during a sympathy visit by the Progressive Governors’ Forum, PGF, to Zamfara State Government House, described the inferno which displaced the traders who were making a living as unfortunate and urged the people to exercise care while using electrical appliances.
He said the donation to the affected traders is aimed at alleviating the hardship the fire incident has brought on them.

Responding, Governor Bello Mohammed of Zamfara State thanked the forum for the sympathy visit and described it as a show of love, brotherhood, and friendship across the political divides.
Governor Mohammed said his party, the Peoples Democratic Party does not care to send a delegation to commiserate with the state on the recent fire incident that destroyed 63 shops at the Tudun Wada Market in the state capital.
