Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the local government election in the state.

The Governor, who was in his hometown Takum, in Takum Local Government Area of the State to cast his vote, observed that the election was conducted peacefully.

Despite reported low turnout of the people at some polling units for the local government election in the state, the election was generally peaceful.

The Governor, who was returning to his hometown after a long absence, said the conduct of the people was encouraging and urged them to remain peaceful all the time

Governor Ishaku voted at the Sarkin Jukun polling unit in Takum.

However, the covid-19 precautionary guidelines were partially applied in some polling units, and not applied at all at some voting points.
