Edo State governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the immediate reinstatement of staff members from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, who were unjustly dismissed by the now-defunct Special Intervention Team (S.I.T.) in March 2023, during the tenure of former Governor Godwin Obaseki.
This announcement was made in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
The statement clarified that the affected staff, all members of the Academic Staff Union of the University, were wrongfully terminated following their protests over unpaid salaries and other entitlements that were due under the previous administration.
The SSG emphasized that the government of Senator Monday Okpebholo is committed to the principles of natural justice, equity, and good conscience. Therefore, the administration will not hesitate to address any perceived injustice against the people of Edo State.
