Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has sworn in key appointees into his government.
They are eight new Commissioners, eleven Special Advisers, six Permanent Secretaries, as well as one member each of the Judicial Service Commission and the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission, NASIEC.
The appointments and swearing-in followed a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at strengthening the machinery of government as the administration approaches the end of its tenure.
Governor Sule charged the new appointees to provide purposeful leadership, uphold professionalism and accountability, and ensure the effective implementation of government policies and programmes.
The Governor challenged the Commissioners to provide strategic direction in their ministries and work closely with Permanent Secretaries and other stakeholders to achieve greater results.
Governor Sule commended the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for the prompt screening and confirmation of the nominees, while appreciating the outgoing Commissioners for their service to the state.
A total of eight Commissioners, eleven Special Advisers, six Permanent Secretaries, one member of the Judicial Service Commission and one member of NASIEC were sworn in at the Government House in Lafia, the state capital.
