Imo State Governor, Hope uzodimma has launched twelve new trucks for effective waste disposal in Owerri, Imo State capital.
The target is to make Owerri the cleanest City in Nigeria.
In an effort to fulfill his campaign promises to the people of Imo State, Governor Uzodinma launched twelve new refuse disposal trucks and over 10,000 waste bin for effective environmental sanitation in the state.
Speaking at the launch which took place at the Heroes Square in Owerri, Uzodinma said the initiative is aimed at keeping Imo State clean and attractive to investors.

He stressed that “cleanliness is next to godliness”, calling on residents to imbibe the right attitude in waste management.
The Commissioner in charge of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Sanitation, Elias Emedom thanked the Governor, promising that the relevant authorities will put the facilities to good use.
