Cross River State Police Command has warned politicians against the use of non State actors during Saturday’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state, saying the command will deal with anyone found guilty of the law.
The State Commissioner of Police in charge of election duties, Abubakar Garba gave the warning when he met with stakeholders at the police Headquarters in Calabar.
Abubakar who said the Inspector General of Police has given Security directives on the rules of engagements during the polls inline with the electoral law assured that there would be a level playing field before during, and after the elections.

He reminded the players that Cross River belongs to all the citizens, hence the need to take peace as their option.
The Police Commissioner had earlier committed all the political parties to sign a peace accord as a way to guarantee peaceful polls.
