A non-political organisation, Eko United Group, has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the management of the West African Examination Council, WAEC, to produce Lagos State Governor Babajde Sanwuolu’s 1981 School Leaving Certificate or face litigation.
The Publicity Secretary of the group, Ayodele Kumolu-Johnson, made this public Wednesday, during a media briefing in Ikeja, over recent developments regarding the case of an allegation of a forged statement of WAEC result, against Governor Sanwuolu, at the ongoing Election Petition Tribunal in Lagos.
The group expressed disappointment that an institution like WAEC will expose itself as allegedly culpable in the fraudulent and sudden upload of results on the council’s portal after the same portal had earlier shown the result to be a forged document.

They threatened to seek redress in court after 48 hours of the ultimatum while assuring the public of close monitoring of proceedings at the Lagos State Petition Tribunal, and advocating for a fair and impartial resolution of the matter.
