Guards Brigade Recommits To Defending FCT, Neighbouring States

Troops of the guards brigade of the Nigerian army are ever ready to defend the Federal capital territory and its neighbouring states in addition to its primary assignment of protecting the president.

Commander of the guards brigade battalion of the Nigerian army, brigadier general Adebisi Onasanya gave the assurance at the end of a four-day competition and training exercise, held at the lungi barracks in Abuja.

Having completed this year’s annual corporal and below rank competition and training exercise, Commander of the guards brigade battalion of the Nigerian army, brigadier general Adebisi Onasanya said the troops made up of men and women are now prepared for the challenges of insecurity facing rhe country.

A total of 5 battalions competed in the exercise after which the 7 guards battallion emerged the overall winner.
