Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at President Mamadi Doumbouya’s inauguration in Guinea-Conakry.
He will also attend the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, after the inauguration ceremony.
The Vice President’s visit to Guinea-Conakry is aimed at strengthening regional ties and deepening bilateral trade between Nigeria and Guinea.
Nigerian exports to Guinea have recently increased, particularly manufactured goods and agricultural products.

Shettima will then proceed to Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, to participate in the World Economic Forum, which will focus on frontier technologies, sustainable development, and global economic integration.
The event will bring together leaders from government, business, and civil society to discuss shared global challenges.
The Vice President’s engagements in Guinea-Conakry and Davos are part of Nigeria’s efforts to promote economic growth, investment, and regional cooperation under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He is expected back in Nigeria at the conclusion of his engagements.
