A 27 year old undergraduate of the University of Lagos(UNILAG) Rhema Ahonsi aims to have his name written in the Guinness Book Of World Record as he attempts to win the longest singing marathon feat of 120 hours.
The 200 Level Theatre Arts student who would be singing for not less than 1300 indigenous gospel songs all through the challenge took to his social media accounts to say the task is a testament to the resilience and passion embedded in the Nigerian culture and the creative industry.

The marathon singing challenge kicked off Saturday, November 25th 2023 at the LAMP Studio UNILAG in Akoka area of Lagos South West Nigeria and he is expected to complete the challenge Thursday November 30th.
All eyes are on Ahonsi to see if he will dethrone India’s Sunil Waghmare who holds the longest singing marathon record of 105 hours by an individual since March 2012.
