No fewer than 13 persons have been confirmed dead following an attack by yet to be identified gunmen on Sunday night in Kwatas village, the home town of former Plateau State House of Assembly Speaker, Titus Alarms, in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria.
Kwatas is a community located 15 kilometres southeast within the neighborhood of the Plateau State University. The locals said that It was attacked at about 9:00 pm.

Confirming the incident to AIT News via a telephone call, the new spokesperson of the Plateau State Police Command, Gabriel Ubah, said the attention of the Command has been drawn to the incident but still awaiting a signal from Bokkos.
Also Confirming the attack, the former Speaker of the State Assembly, Alarm, said one out of those severely injured died at the hospital, bringing the figure of dead person to 14.
The attack comes few weeks after gunmen suspected to be herdsmen killed 12 people in neighbouring Kulben village in Mangu Local Government Area of the state.
