Gunmen have reportedly attacked people at two separate political gatherings in Anambra State, South East Nigeria killing at least two persons.
Police in the area have confirmed the two shooting incidents which have left several others wounded.

Sources say one of the attacks occurred late Sunday at a local ward meeting of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC in Uruagu community, Nnewi.
It is gathered that the gunmen arrived the venue of the APC gathering, shooting sporadically and killing one person while another was critically injured,he was taken to an undisclosed hospital in the area.
The second incident on same Sunday evening, involved a chieftain of the ruling Party in Anambra State, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA occurred at Nnobi in Idemili South Council Area.
The APGA chieftain was attacked and a branded campaign vehicle of the party, also set ablaze.
The Anambra State Police Command spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, told ait.live that the yet to be identified gunmen struck at the Uruagu Nnewi political event at about 7pm Sunday night.
He said that the State Commissioner of Police, Tony Olofu has ordered investigation into the two shooting incidents with a view to bringing the perpetrators to book.
