No fewer than four people have been confirmed dead following fresh attack on Sunday night in Nkienzha in Miango District of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria.

AIT.live gathered that the gunmen came in their numbers at about 11pm and divided themselves into two groups where they also set some houses ablaze during the invasion.

Spokesperson for Irigwe Development Association, Davidson Malison, while confirming the attack describe the resurgence of violence and killings as callous and barbaric while blaming the armed herders for the attack.

According to Malison, the attack was launched on two communities including Teegbe and Nkienzha, but villagers in Teegbe were able to repel the attackers but unfortunately one person was killed there while three others were killed in Nkienzha village.

The Plateau State Police Command is yet to confirm the attack, however, Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN in Plateau State, Muhammad Nura, debunked the allegation, describing it as an act of criminality, while appealing to the people not to allow criminals to take them back to their dark days.

The MACBAN leader also called on security operatives to fish out the perpetrators of the act to face justice.
