Gunmen Suspected to be Terrorists have shot dead two police officers at a check point in Kuru community of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, North Central Nigeria.
The incident, AIT gathered occured on Friday 19, August at a security checkpoint close to the famous Government Science Secondary School Kuru, located about 20 km to Jos on the Jos-Abuja highway in Plateau State.

The slain officers whose rifles were reportedly taken away by the Gunmen after carrying out the act, were attached to the counter-terrorism unit of the Plateau state police command.
Confirming the incident to AIT on Saturday in Jos, the Spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command DSP Alfred Alabo, said the Command have since deployed it’s officers and Men to go after the gunmen and have also lunched an investigation on the matter.
