As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Abuja, has extended support to children at the City of Refuge Orphanage, Area 1, Durumi, in the Federal Capital Territory.
The hotel’s management visited the orphanage with relief materials aimed at cushioning the hardship faced by the children and caregivers.
The City of Refuge Orphanage, Durumi, Area 1, is home to dozens of children with limited access to basic necessities and who rely largely on the support of well-meaning individuals and organizations.
The team from Hawthorn Suites, led by the Group Human Resource Manager, Usman Isah Muhammad, arrived at home bearing food items, clothing, and other essential materials.

The outreach is in collaboration with DAAR Communications Plc, which provided media support for the event.
The children were excited as they received the items.
They sang appreciation songs, while their Matron, on behalf of the home, thanked the management of Hawthorn Suites for remembering them.
The management of the orphanage appealed to other corporate organizations and well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the gesture of Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, noting that more support is needed to improve the welfare of the orphanage and give the children a better future.
