National Vice Chairman of the Joint Health Sector Unions, JOHESU, Obinna Ogbonna, says the strike embarked upon by members of the union has been suspended but with a 21-day timeline to the Nigerian Government to address the contentious issues.

In a telephone conversation with AIT.live, Ogbonna said the strike was suspended due to the progress made during engagement between members of the National Working Committee and President Bola Tinubu.
Earlier on Monday, JOHESU officials met with President Tinubu, who appealed to the striking health workers to return to work in the interest of Nigerians.
