Hoodlums have attacked a group of 21 youth corps members at a rented private lodge in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital, South-South Nigeria.
According to the corps members who spoke to AIT.live, ,the hoodlums , who were more than 10 in number, dispossessed them of their phones, laptops, cash and other valuables including documents.
The corps members said the attack occurred at about few minutes past 1am. They however but denied reports that some of the females among them were raped.

State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Chinyere Ekwe who visited the obviously traumatised corps members expressed joy that none of them was injured and no life lost.
Ekwe however appealed that security should be beefed up around locations where youth corps members live to avoid a repeat of such ugly incident.
