There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for the petroleum sector as Nigeria’s House of Representatives on Wednesday received the report of its committee on the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB.
The bill aimed at providing a legal, governance, regulatory and fiscal framework for the country’s petroleum industry has for almost two decades suffered setback.

The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, is expected to brief members of the house of representatives later today on the PIB.
Both chambers of the National Assembly will on Thursday pass the PIB for the first time in 17 years.
