Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has proposed a budget of 756 billion naira for 2025 fiscal year christened ” Budget of expanded economic opportunities”
In his welcome address, the Speaker of the Imo house of Assembly Chike Olemgbe enumerated some achievements of the government in the last one year vis-a-vis the the 2024 budget. He also highlighted bills passed to by the lawmakers
Laying the fiscal document before the State House of Assembly in Owerri the Imo state capital, Governor Hope Uzodinma said the capital expenditure will gulp 643 billion naira representing 85.1 percent of the total budget
Governor Uzodinma says the instructive point of the budget is to present a limitless economic Opportunities that will be achieved through electrification of project ,Orashi Energy free trade zone and enhanced agricultural investments among others.

Uzodimma however reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and accountability in his administration in order to make Imo state an economic and industrial hub
