Residents of Ona Area, Oluyole, Akinyele, Egbeda and Ido local governments of Oyo state have appealed to the state governor Seyi Makinde to stop the demolition of houses along the Ibadan Circular Road which according to them has rendered no fewer than 6,000 families homeless.

The call was made by residents of Oluyole area of the state as they protested moves by the government to increase the setback on both sides of the road from 150 meters to 500 meters which has seen over 1000 houses marked for demolition.
