Edo State Commissioner of police Funsho Adegboye, has called on parents and guardians to warn their children and wards against the use of illicit drugs, dealing on them or patronizing dealers.
Adegboye made this call in a press statement made available to journalists by the police public relations officer Chidi Nwabuzor on Saturday against the backdrop of the arrest of a twenty year old boy for being in possession of five huge bags of suspected Cannabis Sativa also known as marijuana.
According to the statement, operatives of the Command crack team led by the officer in charge Adenodi Bamidele acting on a tip-off that a house occupied by one Saturday at Ologbo Community, Off Benin-Abraka Road, Benin City was loaded with large quantities of suspected cannabis sativa,stormed the premises and arrested forty year old Gladys Omoruyi and twenty year old Emmanuel Nworie.
While assuring of proper investigation into the case, Adegboye used the medium to warn dealers of illicit drugs to stop the drug business as there will be no hiding place for them in Edo state.
