As Nigeria marks the 2026 Children’s Day celebration, wife of the Imo State Governor, Chioma Uzodinma, has urged children to believe in themselves and remain focused on achieving success regardless of their background or circumstances.
Represented by the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Chinyere Ekomaru, during the celebration in Owerri, Chioma Uzodinma described children as the pride, hope and future of the nation.
She said there is no limit to what children can achieve when provided with quality education, proper guidance and opportunities to grow, innovate and excel.
The governor’s wife encouraged the children to remain disciplined, hardworking and determined, urging them to stay curious, believe in their abilities and continue striving for a brighter future.
The celebration featured colourful cultural displays, dance performances and other entertaining activities by pupils and students, creating an atmosphere of excitement as children marked their special day.
