Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma says an initial sum of over one billion naira has been earmarked for the relocation and resettlement of persons affected by the security crisis and natural disasters in Oguta Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Uzodimma said this while addressing leaders and other residents of Oru West and Oguta local government councils
Uzodimma appealed for support of his administration’s infrastructure development and other initiatives and warned the people against being used as tools in the hands of those out to destroy the state.

The Governor also said the recent approval for dredging of the Oguta Lake -Orashi River to the Atlantic Ocean will create thousands of jobs and bring further economic development to the state.
Uzodimma urged traditional rulers and community leaders to keep their youths away from crime and vices like drug abuse and get them engaged in meaningful ventures.
