The chairman of the Owerri Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ugochukwu Allinor, has confirmed the killing of Nnaemeka Ugboma.
The presiding magistrate of Ejemekwuru customary court in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
The Tragedy struck on Thursday evening after gunmen who came on motorcycles invaded the courtroom, dragged the magistrate out, and shot him dead.
The killing of the jurist caused confusion as litigants, court staff and even residents fled the community.

According to a source, the slain magistrate was a law graduate of 1991 set and hailed from the Nnebukwu community in the Oguta Local Government Area of the state.
The reason for his killing is yet to be known
