Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has advocated for a robot partnership between his government and religious leaders in the fight against insecurity and the promotion of peace in the State.
Uzodinma made the appeal while addressing over two hundred clergymen from the Catholic, Anglican and Methodist churches who paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Owerri.
He commended the Christian religious leaders for what he called their sustained prayers and support towards restoring peace, particularly in the Okigwe zone, urging them to continue praying for his administration as well as the administration of President Bola Tinubu to enable government sustain infrastructural development and improve the welfare of the people.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Reverend Father Peter Ohaeri applauded Governor Uzodinma for maintaining a cordial relationship with churches across different denominations in the State.
They also commended the Governor’s developmental strides and encouraged him to remain focused on delivering more democratic dividends to the people of Imo State.
