Imo State Task Force on COVID-19 disease has advised the government to beef up enforcement of laws put in place to ward off Coronavirus in the state.
Chairman of the Task Force, Professor Maurice Iwu, said such enforcement would stem the spread of the disease.
According to Professor Iwu, the state has cumulative samples of 1,461 results, indicating more positive cases.
Maurice Iwu was explaining to newsmen efforts being made to curtail the spread of Coronavirus.
He, however, commended the state government for tackling the pandemic.
According to Iwu, the state has recorded 247 positive and 1,214 negative cases.

The Task Force has set up a 4-man sub-committee to visit local government areas, with a view to enforcing covid-19 protocols.
He urged residents to desist from spreading false information about COVID-19 to avoid tension and panic.
