Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has expressed his determination to make the state judiciary one of the best in the country.
The Governor stated this on Friday while swearing in the new acting Chief Judge of the state, Justice Ijeoma Agugua, who replaced retired Justice Pascal Nnadi.

Uzodinma outlined the strategic role of the judiciary in a democracy, calling for synergy between the three arms of government to achieve cohesion in the polity.
The Governor urged judicial workers in the state to remain loyal and committed while performing their duties.
Responding, Justice Agugua promised to discharge her responsibilities without fear of favour.
She is the first female Chief Judge in the state.
The immediate past Chief Judge, Justice Nnadi, served in that capacity for six years from 2014 to 2020.
