The Acting Chief Judge of Kebbi State, Umar Abubakar has sworn in a new Acting Chairman, Shu’aibu Ibrahim, as well as his Acting Vice Chairman Abubakar Ibrahim,
for Aleiro Local Government, after the impeachment of the incumbent Chairman and his deputy.
The Chairman of Aleiro Local Government in Kebbi State Auwal Salihu and his vice, Garba Bala, were impeached by the Resolution of the Local Government Council, which met on Monday, March 27th.
The resolution said the reasons for the removal of the Chairman and his vice were, the diversion of local government revenue for personal use, the diversion of security funds, without explanation to the Council and the diversion of some Village Heads’ funds.
The council also accused him and his deputy of the diversion of Area Development Revenue Funds without consent from the Area Development Sole Administration Council.
Lastly,he was accused of failing to call the Monthly Council Meeting.
