The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has assured the residents of Ekiti State to conduct credible polls in Ekiti.
The Chairman of the Commission, Professor Mahmoud Yaqoob, said this in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, during a meeting with traditional rulers.
Professor Mahmoud said the commission will also conduct the botched Ekiti East Constituency 1 State Assembly Election on June 18.
He appealed to the traditional rulers to sensitise their subjects, on the need for a peaceful election.
He also said the Bimodal Voter’s Accreditation Service was excellent during a mock test conducted on Monday.

The Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti, who responded on behalf of the traditional rulers, assured the electoral umpire, that traditional rulers will continue to play their roles, to ensure peace in the state, before, during and after the elections.
