The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Oyo State will commence the display of the Preliminary Register of Voters for Claims and Objections across all 33 Local Government Area offices in the state.

The exercise, according to a media release signed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Rahman Adeniran Tella, will run from Tuesday, August 4th to Monday, August 10th, 2026 daily between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.

He explained that the exercise is designed to enable every registered voter to verify their names, personal and biometric details on the register and to correct any errors.

Prof. Tella said the display is part of INEC’s timetable and schedule of activities ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The REC added that the period will also be used to attend to applications for transfer of registration, replacement of lost or damaged PVCs, updates to personal information, and to raise objections to the inclusion of deceased persons, underage registrants or non-citizens.

Prof. Tella urged all eligible voters in the state to take full advantage of the exercise to ensure a clean voters’ register.

He stressed that all claims and objections must be submitted physically within the stipulated period at the designated INEC LGA offices across the state
