The office of the Independent National Electoral Commissioner, INEC in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, South East Nigeria was set ablaze Sunday morning.
It is unclear who may have set the facility of the Nigerian electoral body situated in the rural area on fire.

Awgu Council Area which is in the Southern part of Enugu State, is about 57 kilometers away from the Enugu capital city.
AIT.live gathered that the arsonists scaled through the perimeter fence of the INEC office to gain access to the premises.
The fire which reportedly started in the early hours is said to have destroyed some parts of the building.
An eye witness said, the quick intervention of the Fire Service from a nearby location at Ozalla, the community hosting the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, UNTH, helped to salvage the situation.
Police in the State is yet to comment on the incident.
It could be recalled that there has been similar attacks on INEC facilities at its Enugu State headquarters and the Udenu Local Government Area office.
