The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that a total of 2,436,275 eligible Nigerians have been registered in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise as of July 10, 2026, with Kaduna State recording the highest number of registrations nationwide.

The latest Phase III, Week Nine registration statistics released by the electoral commission show that the figure comprises 823,324 completed online registrations and 1,612,951 physical registrations completed across the country.

According to the data, Kaduna led all states with 182,749 registered voters, followed by Edo with 121,554, Lagos with 114,983, and Delta with 108,547.

Taraba recorded 94,432 registrations, Sokoto 91,207, Ebonyi 84,118, and Jigawa 79,837, while Bauchi registered 77,881 voters. Benue followed with 76,442, Ogun with 75,633, and Cross River with 75,131.

Anambra and Oyo each recorded more than 71,000 registrations, while Imo registered 70,087 voters during the period under review.

At the lower end of the table, Ekiti recorded only 84 registrations, while Ondo registered 14,407. The Federal Capital Territory recorded 33,288 registrations, while Rivers posted 52,710 and Akwa Ibom 35,196.

INEC explained that voter registration in Osun State remains suspended in accordance with Section 9(6) of the Electoral Act 2022 due to the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

INEC said the suspension is a legal requirement intended to preserve the integrity of the electoral process ahead of the poll.

The commission called on prospective voters to complete their registration only through its official CVR platforms and designated registration centres nationwide, while ignoring unofficial channels and misinformation.
