The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Cross River State says it has registered three hundred and twenty two thousand three hundred and fifty one new prospective voters in the state.
State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Cyril Omorogbe who made the figures public during an interactions with journalists in his Calabar office the number represents the voters registered between the end of the 2019 elections and the just concluded continuous voter registration.
He said there was an improvement on past registration exercises, ,but Cross River State could have done better based on the awareness provided by INEC and its partners.
Cross River State now has over one point eight million voters when added to the over one point five million registered before 2019 general elections.
