The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), says it will deploy Biomodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), for the conduct of the FCT Area Council Elections scheduled to hold on February twelve, 2022.
INEC’s head of information communication and technology, Chidi Nwafor said this at the sensitisation forum, organised by the commission for broadcast media practitioners in Abuja.
With less than one month to the FCT Area Council Elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has been meeting with major stakeholders to fine-tune arrangements to ensure hitch-free polls.
It was the turn of media practitioners on Monday. The goal is to acquaint them with the effectiveness of the Biomodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), in the February twelve FCT area council elections.

But some of the participants argue that biomodal voter accreditation system was not very successful during the November 6 Anambra State governorship election, a claim INEC officials dismissed as untrue.
The commission served notice that anyone found to have engaged in multiple voter registration will not be allowed to vote.
