At least 60 persons have been reportedly killed in what seems to be an appraisal attack by suspected fulani herder militia in Ado local government area of Benue State.
Governor Samuel Ortom who disclosed this while receiving the coalition of Tiv professionals in Makurdi the State capital equally revealed that security men have also not been spared and therefore renewed his call on the Federal government to allow individuals bear arms in self defence.

Using metaphorical language, Governor Ortom said the country was on life support and the oxygen has since dried up
He however urged the presidency to go back to the constitution to resolve the myriad of problems.
Ortom equally highlighted other concerns to include lopsided appointments and the blatant disregard for Presidential directives, which he said if left unchecked could doom for the country.
