Two soldiers have been reportedly killed by gunmen in a recent attack on Kagara town and the Emir’s palace, in Niger State.
Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State made the confirmation in an interview with journalists in Minna shortly after visiting twelve injured soldiers receiving treatment at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida Hospital, Minna, Niger State capital.
The Governor also says that some of the injured soldiers are receiving medical attention at a health facility in Kaduna.
The Governor in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Mary Berje, says there are no exact figure of the casualties.

The governor expressed concern about the increasing number of bandits and the way they plan and execute attacks on communities.
He therefore enjoined the people to be security-conscious and to report any suspicious movements of people of questionable character.
Governor Bello also raised concern about some communities that harbour bandits.
