Not disturbed by the renewed terrorist attacks in the state, the Katsina government has reviewed the ban on the use of commercial tricycles and motorcycles at night in 19 local government areas of the state from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

On August 27, the government, following a Security Containment Order signed by Governor Dikko Radda, banned the use of commercial motorcycles and tricycles at night across 19 LGAs, as part of efforts to enhance security in the state.

The reviewed order is contained in a statement by the Commissioner for Internal Security, Nasir Mu’azu, stating that the ban will now be enforced between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Mu’azu said the decision was made during a security council meeting on Tuesday.

He thanked the residents for their cooperation and support.

He assured that efforts are being made by the government to tackle the security challenges in the state.

The 19 out of the 34 local government areas of the state affected are Sabuwa, Dandume, Funtua, Faskari, Bakori, Kankara, Danja, Kafur, Malumfashi, Musawa, Matazu, Danmusa, Safana, Dutsinma, Kurfi, Charanchi, Jibiya, Batsari and Kankia.
