Nigeria’s House of Representatives has faulted the decision of the National Examination Council (NECO) to bring about 1500 staff from across the country to the council’s headquarters in Minna for their promotional exam.

This followed the Adoption of a motion of urgent public importance calling on the board to consider suspending the decision.

The lawmakers say the management should conduct the promotion examination at its zonal offices across the country given the security and economic situation of the country.

According to the lawmakers, the board had conducted the promotion examination for her staff at various zonal/regional offices without making a large number of staff from different States of the country travel and converge on one place for the promotion exercise.
