Nigerian Senate held a closed session with Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike and the Commissioner Police over surge in abduction of residents and heightened insecurity within the Territory and its environs.
This follows a motion by the Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko on the Galadimawa abduction incident that led to the death of one of his senior legislative aides.
As part of the Senate’s resolutions, the upper legislative chamber invited the FCT Minister of FCT and Commissioner of Police to give detailed security briefings in a closed session on the current situation in the nation’s capital.
