Zamfara State

No fewer than twenty people have been killed by suspected terrorists who launched an attack on the Bilbis community in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

Five people sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to the hospital.

Eyewitness accounts say the suspected terrorists stormed the community on at least ten motorcycles, bearing sophisticated weapons, and operated for over three hours.

“The suspected terrorists may have whisked away two people whom we are looking for.”

The locals said although distress calls were put across to security agencies, the suspected terrorists had operated and left when they eventually arrived.

The residents also disclosed that among those killed, fourteen have been buried this Friday morning.

Communities in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State have been suffering incessant attacks by suspected terrorists who have continued to terrorise the people in recent times.

The people are, therefore, calling for urgent intervention by the government.
