The detained leader of the proscribed separatist agitation group, the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has reportedly ordered for an immediate end to all forms of sit-at-home action in the South East region or anywhere else across Nigeria.
Special Counsel to Kanu, Ally Ejimakor told journalists in Enugu on Friday that the IPOB leader personally instructed him to convey the message to all Igbos across the world and indeed Nigerians.

According to Ejimakor who claims that Kanu who is in the custody of the Nigerian secret police, the Department of State Services, DSS issued the latest directive in writing through him to Simon Ekpa, when he visited on 24th July, 2023.
Ejimakor quotes Nnamdi Kanu as instructing the Finland based IPOB factional leader, Simon Ekpa to “desist from calling for any Sit-at-Home henceforth”, as well as “make a public announcement to the effect that he, Simon Ekpa is in receipt of a direct order from him, Nnamdi Kanu”, end of quote.
Ejimakor insists that Nnamdi Kanu issued the orders through his own handwriting to Ekpa.
The special counsel to Nnamdi Kanu said he would not have made this announcement if by 4pm this Friday, Simon Ekpa had complied with Nnamdi Kanu’s instructions, ait.live could could not independently verify if the contents of the text of the press conference addressed by Alloy Ejimakor, actually emanated from Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently in the custody of the DSS in Abuja.
